Your trusted Chinese color marker sensor manufacturer

Delivering industrial-grade precision, factory-direct pricing, and global support since 2015.

Factory Direct & Custom Engineering

Our R&D team specializes in RGB tricolor source technology and high-speed processing algorithms to ensure superior detection on challenging materials like metallic foils and transparent films. We offer flexible customization for light spot size, response frequency, and output modes (NPN/PNP) to perfectly integrate with your specific VFFS or labeling machinery.

Rigorous Quality Control Standards

Every color mark sensor undergoes strict testing protocols, including contrast sensitivity calibration, “teach-in” function verification, and high-speed response testing before shipment. We strictly enforce ISO 9001 standards to guarantee durability against machine vibration, paper dust accumulation, and temperature fluctuations in harsh packaging environments.

Expert Application Support & Rapid Replacement

In high-speed packaging, a sensor failure means costly downtime and material waste. We provide a 2-year warranty and direct access to engineers who can guide you through complex contrast “teach-in” settings on metallic foils or transparent films. We keep a massive stock of standard RGB models ready for immediate DHL/FedEx dispatch to ensure your production line never stops.

Free Sample Qualification Program

Technical FAQ: Color Mark & Contrast Sensors

What is the difference between a Color Mark Sensor and a Color Sensor?
A Color Mark Sensor (or Contrast Sensor) is designed to detect the difference in light reflection between two surfaces (the mark and the background). It is optimized for speed and precision in registration tasks. A Color Sensor, meanwhile, identifies specific RGB values to determine the exact color of an object. For high-speed packaging cutting, a Color Mark sensor is the superior, faster choice.
How does the "Automatic RGB Selection" work in your sensors?
During the Teach-in process, the sensor emits Red, Green, and Blue light sequentially onto both the mark and the background. Its internal microprocessor analyzes which light color provides the maximum contrast ratio. It then automatically selects that color (e.g., using Green light to detect a Red mark on a White background) to ensure the most stable signal possible.
Can these sensors handle highly reflective or metallic foils?
Yes. Our sensors utilize coaxial optical paths and advanced lens coatings to minimize glare. To further improve reliability on mirror-like surfaces, we recommend mounting the sensor at a slight angle (approx. 10° to 15°) to the vertical. This prevents direct "specular reflection" from blinding the receiver while still capturing the diffuse contrast change.
What is the significance of a 15kHz switching frequency?
In modern packaging, machines run at speeds exceeding 500 meters per minute. A 15kHz switching frequency means the sensor can trigger up to 15,000 times per second with a response time of under 50μs. This minimizes "jitter"—ensuring that your cutting blade or label applicator hits the exact same spot on every single package with micro-millimeter accuracy.
How do I calibrate the sensor for a new packaging design?
We offer two methods: Static Teach-in (where you manually place the mark and then the background under the spot) and Dynamic Teach-in. Dynamic Teach-in is ideal for continuous lines; you simply hold the teach button while the film is running, and the sensor "learns" the contrast levels on the fly without needing to stop the machine.
Why is the light spot rectangular (1.5mm x 5mm) rather than a circle?
A rectangular spot is specifically designed to detect vertical registration marks. By covering a wider horizontal area (5mm), the sensor is less sensitive to "web wander" (sideways movement of the film). This ensures that the mark is detected even if the packaging material shifts slightly left or right during transit.
Will ambient factory lighting or sunlight cause false triggers?
No. Our sensors use Pulse-Modulated Light technology. The receiver is electronically synchronized to only "see" the specific frequency of its own emitter. This allows it to operate reliably under high-intensity overhead LED lights or near windows with up to 10,000 Lux of ambient interference.
What is the recommended sensing distance for your Elite Series?
The standard focal length is 12mm (±2mm). It is critical to maintain this distance for the sharpest focus of the light spot. If the material vibrates significantly, we recommend using a tension roller or a "backplate" to keep the packaging film within the sensor’s optimal focal range for maximum signal stability.
