The slot width should be at least 2-3mm wider than the maximum width of the object passing through. For high-speed rotating discs, a narrow slot (5mm) is preferred to maintain a tight optical beam and higher precision.

Can the sensor handle high-frequency counting without losing signals?

Yes. Our high-speed series (XSZ-SG05-H) supports frequencies up to 10,000 Hz. This ensures zero signal loss even in ultra-fast tachometer or gear-tooth counting applications.
